Diabetic Eye Care
Diabetes is the leading cause of preventable blindness. We look for early signs of Diabetic Retinopathy (leaking blood vessels). We coordinate directly with your PCP or Endocrinologist to ensure your A1C and eye health are in sync.
Glaucoma Management
Known as the "Silent Thief of Sight," glaucoma damages your peripheral vision without pain. We monitor your eye pressure and use OCT Scans to track optic nerve health, prescribing drops to lower pressure when needed.
Macular Degeneration (AMD)
We monitor for drusen and retinal changes that affect central vision. Early detection and nutritional counseling (AREDS2 vitamins) are key to preserving sight in older adults.
High-Risk Medication Screenings
Taking Plaquenil (Hydroxychloroquine) for Lupus or Rheumatoid Arthritis? We perform the required 10-2 Visual Field and OCT scans to monitor for retinal toxicity.
For these visits, we typically bill your Medical Insurance (like Blue Cross, United, or Medicare), just like a visit to your cardiologist. Vision plans (like VSP) are reserved for routine glasses/contact lens updates. We will verify your coverage for you.
