Advanced Surgical Co-Management

LASIK • EVO ICL • RLE • Laser Cataract Surgery

There is no "one size fits all" eye surgery.

At TSO Kyle, we specialize in matching the right patient to the right procedure. While many people ask for LASIK, it isn't always the best tool for the job—especially if you are over 40 or have thin corneas.

We work alongside Austin's premier surgeons to manage your care from the initial consultation through your final post-op checkup, right here in Kyle.

Option 1: Corneal Refractive Surgery

Best for patients under 40 with healthy eyes.

LASIK & PRK

The Gold Standard for reshaping the eye.

Using a femtosecond laser, the surgeon alters the curvature of your cornea to correct Nearsightedness, Farsightedness, and Astigmatism.

  • Recovery: 24 hours (LASIK) to 5 days (PRK).
  • Best for: Moderate prescriptions.

EVO ICL™

The "Implantable Contact Lens."

For patients with Thin Corneas or High Prescriptions (-8.00 and above). A microscopic lens is implanted behind the iris. Unlike LASIK, no corneal tissue is removed.

  • Benefit: Reversible & High Definition.
  • Best for: Patients told "No" for LASIK.

Option 2: Lens Replacement (RLE & Cataracts)

Best for patients over 45 or those with cloudy vision.

Why "Laser-Assisted" Matters:
We co-manage patients for Femtosecond Laser-Assisted Cataract Surgery (FLACS). Instead of using a manual blade, the surgeon uses a computer-guided laser to make the incisions. This offers 10x greater precision for correcting astigmatism and centering the new lens.

Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE)

The "LASIK Alternative" for Presbyopia.

If you are over 45 and rely on reading glasses, LASIK is often temporary. RLE replaces your aging natural lens with a Multifocal Implant.

  • The Win: Corrects distance AND reading vision permanently.
  • Bonus: You will never develop cataracts in the future.

Cataract Surgery

Medical Vision Restoration.

When your natural lens becomes cloudy and yellow, we remove it. But you have a choice in how you see afterwards:

  • Standard Monofocal: Covered by insurance, but you will still need glasses.
  • Premium Lifestyle IOLs: (PanOptix, Vivity) Correct astigmatism and reading vision so you can live glasses-free.

The Co-Management Experience

Why drive to Austin for 5 different appointments when you can do 4 of them in Kyle?

  1. The Evaluation (Kyle): We measure corneal thickness, pupil size, and retinal health to determine if you need LASIK, ICL, or RLE.
  2. The Surgery (Austin): We refer you to our trusted surgical partners for the procedure itself.
  3. The Recovery (Kyle): You return to us for your 1-Day, 1-Week, and 1-Month post-ops. We communicate directly with your surgeon to ensure you are healing perfectly.
