New Patient Information
Welcome to Texas State Optical Kyle. Here's everything you need to know before your first visit.
What to Bring
- Photo ID (driver's license or state ID)
- Insurance cards — both vision and medical if you have them
- Current glasses or contact lenses — even if the prescription is old
- List of medications — including eye drops
- Prior eye records — if available from your previous doctor (we can also request these for you)
What to Expect
Your first comprehensive exam typically takes 45–60 minutes. Dr. Waqar will perform a thorough evaluation of both your vision and your eye health, including:
- Refraction (glasses prescription)
- Eye pressure measurement
- Retinal imaging and/or dilation
- A one-on-one discussion of your results and any concerns
